LBA's annual Banker’s Day at the State Capitol provides bankers the opportunity to visit with lawmakers on their turf to discuss issues important to the Louisiana banking community. Having a strong showing of Louisiana bankers is essential to communicate our message to our lawmakers and it is a great opportunity to thank legislators for their efforts on our industry's behalf. LBA held this year's Banker's Day at the State Capitol on May 17, 2023.

2023 Banker's Day had over 70 bankers attend.
Typical event highlights include:
- Status of LBA-supported legislation and LBA-opposed legislation
- Update on LBA’s efforts at the Capitol
- Opportunities to visit with legislators on the House and Senate floor along with hearing from state policymakers during the event
- Scheduled in April or May each year
Nothing is more persuasive to lawmakers than when constituents feel strong enough about a cause to visit them at the Capitol.
