Ginger Laurent appointed Louisiana Bankers Association Chief Executive Officer

BATON ROUGE—The Louisiana Bankers Association Board of Directors elected Ginger Laurent as LBA Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 1, 2022. Ginger has worked at LBA for nearly 22 years, serving as Chief Operating Officer for the last 14 years. Prior to her work at LBA, she served as a banker in the Acadiana market for about 16 years. Laurent is the first female elected Chief Executive Officer in the association’s 122 year history.

“LBA is fortunate to have someone of Ginger’s caliber and skill lead our organization. She has extensive banking leadership experience that will be vital in navigating Louisiana’s bankers through unique challenges.” stated LBA Chairman Jerry Ledet of Synergy Bank.

Laurent said, “Louisiana bankers make a difference in the communities they serve and we at the LBA are grateful to have the opportunity to support them. I truly look forward to continue serving and supporting Louisiana bankers alongside a dedicated and caring LBA staff.”

Laurent succeeds Bob Taylor, who retired Dec. 31, 2021, after serving as LBA Chief Executive Officer since 2007.
