Cookies & Careers in Banking Initiative Holds Session at Grambling State University
(above) LBA hosted the second session of Cookies and Careers in Banking at Grambling State University. The students heard from a panel of six bankers from the surrounding area and many who were alumni of the school. They shared what their day-to-day work looked like, who they interacted with each day and their favorite parts of their job. Other area bankers who did not participate on the panel also attended to mingle with the students and answer questions that came up during the session. Pictured (below, from left, front row) are panelists and other bankers who attended: Bobby Williams and Ashlea Price, both of Origin Bank, Shlondra Amacker of Chase Bank, Lorie Hamlin and Carlyle Roberson, both of Century Next Bank, Reggie Carroll and Barrett Kitchens, both of Guaranty Bank and Trust of Delhi, Demetriss Wilson of the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions, Mary Linda McCann of Bank of Oak Ridge, Robert Wiley of Louisiana National Bank, John Cole of Gibsland Bank and Trust, (from left, back row) Jeff Lee of Home Federal Bank and Phillip Smart of Gibsland Bank and Trust.
