Cookies & Careers in Banking Initiative Holds First Session
(above) More than 30 students attended the first Cookies and Career in Banking event held Nov. 17 at Southern University’s Baton Rouge campus. A panel of six bankers from five banks and one representative from the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions told the students about their career path into banking, shared advice about pursuing a career in banking and what qualities make a great banker. They also spoke about the vast number of career options in the banking industry. The cost of admission for the students was their resume that will be shared with the banks participating in the event.
