The LBA Female Bank Executives’ Forum is a hit every year with both long-time and newer women executive bankers. For 2022, we are inviting all past participants as well as those who have never participated to join us for an open-format discussion forum. Participants will choose the topics based on interest and need. The agenda will be focused on dialogue and small group discussion. We hope you join us and encourage a friend to come along!
Female Senior Managers
Julie Laperouse has been screaming all her life, but made it a profession in 2008 when she
founded her motivational speaking and training firm Screaming Peacock. Through Screaming
Peacock, Julie has worked with organizations ranging from Nissan North America to numerous
Junior Leagues and professional women’s groups to the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association.
She has authored one book, “Are you a Screaming Peacock?” which complements her public
speaking engagements.
Julie is currently the Director of Culture and Talent for Gulf Coast Bank, a top performing community bank based in
New Orleans, LA. Her previous gigs include serving as a Managing Director of Emergent Method, a Louisiana based consulting firm where she led their suite of training and development services for more than 150 clients in her
five-year tenure. Earlier in her career, she was Director of Talent Development for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber
(BRAC), a fundraising representative for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and owner-operator of Bancroft
Paper Company alongside her husband. She is happy to discuss surviving business ownership with your spouse if
you’d like to buy her a drink or three.
Julie is a Louisiana native and alumnae of Louisiana State University. She currently lives in Baton Rouge where she
is involved in her community through organizations like The Alliance Professional Women’s Consortium, Halfway
to St. Pat’s Day, and TEDxLSU. Julie was named one of the Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Most Influential
Women in Business” in 2017. She is married and has four little peacocks.
