The 2023 LBA Banker’s Day at the State Capitol is on Wednesday, May 17. This event provides bankers the opportunity to visit with lawmakers on their turf to discuss issues important to the Louisiana banking community. This year we expect another strong showing by Louisiana bankers to help communicate our message to our lawmakers.
We have a strong lineup of speakers for the event that currently includes State Superintendent of Education Dr. Cade Brumley, House Commerce Committee Chairwoman Paula Davis, Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Mike Reese, and Insurance Commissioner Candidate Tim Temple. At the Banker’s Day event we will discuss the status of LBA-supported legislation and LBA-opposed legislation, and update you on our efforts at the Capitol on your behalf.
If possible, please make arrangements to attend this LBA event. Nothing is more persuasive to lawmakers than when constituents feel strong enough about a cause to visit them at the Capitol. It also is a great opportunity to thank your legislators for their efforts on our behalf.
The program will begin at 11:45am with lunch at the Capitol Park Museum. The address is 660 N. 4th Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. After lunch and various presenters, we will walk over to the state capitol to visit with lawmakers. A more detailed agenda and information on parking will be provided as we get closer to the event date. We hope to see you there.
