Biography
Heather Alexis is a member in McGlinchey Stafford's commercial litigation section. Her main areas of practice include bankruptcy, creditor rights, commercial disputes, and consumer finance litigation. Heather regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in consumer and commercial bankruptcy proceedings. Her practice encompasses motions to lift stay, objections to confirmation of plans, reaffirmation agreements, obtaining adequate protection orders, objecting to discharge, valuation hearings, adversary proceedings, and defense of preferential transfer actions, as well as advising clients on matters involving bankruptcy law. Heather graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2007, where she was the Editor and Chief of Loyola Maritime Law Journal and the recipient of numerous academic awards.
