Biography
Anthony is a Member in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans offices who chairs the Firm’s Consumer Financial Services Litigation and Class Action Defense Practice Group. He is nationally recognized for his work in the fields of consumer class actions, financial services litigation, and regulatory actions and investigations for more than 35 years. He has defended approximately 250 class actions in 25 states, and many hundreds of other suits nationwide, in the banking, consumer financial services, and insurance spaces. In addition to being a member of the Editorial Board of the Consumer Financial Services Law Report published by Thomson Reuters Westlaw, and a member of the Advisory Board of BNA’s Class Action Litigation Report, Anthony has published dozens of articles on consumer finance, CFPB, and class action related topics, and has given dozens of presentations at industry and trade group conferences in these areas. Upon passage of the Class Action Fairness Act in 2005, Anthony and his team founded the CAFA Law Blog, and he has been quoted numerous times in trade publications for his commentary on CAFA and other cutting edge issues in the class action field.
