Biography
Michael H. Rubin is a Member in the Baton Rouge office of McGlinchey Stafford. Recognized for the depth of his knowledge of both business litigation and commercial financing, Rubin has represented clients in these areas for more than four decades and has served as President of the LBA Bank Counsel Section, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and the Bar Association of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His numerous publications on lending law and finance have been cited as authoritative by state and federal courts, and for over three decades he has served as an Adjunct Professor teaching Louisiana finance law at the LSU Law School. He has argued major cases before numerous state and federal appellate courts not only on matters of critical importance to the Louisiana lending community but also on constitutional law, labor law, legal ethics, local governmental zoning affecting private interests, property and contractual issues, and oil and gas matters affecting the entire Gulf region. A nationally-known public speaker, Mike has given over 400 major presentations across the country, as well as in Canada and the U.K.
