Biography
Stephen “Steve” P. Strohschein is a Member in McGlinchey Stafford’s Baton Rouge office. Commercial lending is the focus of Steve’s practice, providing assistance to banks and lenders of all types – real estate, floor plan, asset based and small business – both with regard to litigating lending issues, handling workouts, foreclosures, collections and bankruptcy matters, and also frequently providing assistance with lending transactions, structure, and documentation. The automotive industry, representing floor plan lenders – both captives and others – has been a significant aspect of Steve’s practice. Steve has been certified by the American Board of Certification as a specialist in the area of Business Bankruptcy Law. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable LeRoy Smallenberger, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana from 1981 to 1982. Steve received his J.D. from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
