Overview

This is an advanced level course that focuses on how to use LaserPro’s Commercial Doc Prep workflow for complex loans. The course is taught at an advanced level with the expectation that participants already have experience with the basic workflow and navigation of the commercial module. This is a hands-on course designed to teach someone how to navigate through complex commercial loan transactions. Each participant will be completing hands on work on a computer during the class.

Please Note: This is not a compliance seminar. The trainer cannot render compliance advice or legal counsel advice. This is a hands-on course designed to teach someone how to navigate and complete the workflow of the LaserPro software. Each participant will be completing hands on computer training during the class.

Main Objectives:

  • Learn to create nested entity borrowers on the Customer Summary Window
  • Nested entities are when a company is the signer for another company
  • Learn to document complex payment structures
  • Learn to document multiple collateral in a transaction
  • Learn to override LaserPro’s generic language and/or add your own additional language in the documents with additional provisions, exhibits, and LawyerPro

    Agenda
  • Complete the workflow to generate and review a Commercial closing package for a UCC and Real Estate secured loan
  • Create an additional provision and exhibit
  • Use LawyerPro to override LaserPro’s language in the documents

    Prerequisites:
    To fully benefit from this workshop, participants should possess the following skills:
  • Basic window-based computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of working through commercial loans in LaserPro
  • Basic knowledge of the bank’s lending policies and practices relating to Commercial loans
Who Will Benefit

Instructor

Teresa Uptain is a Software Training Advisor for Finastra. Prior to joining Finastra, she has an extensive 15 year background working in the banking industry in which she holds many accomplishments. Teresa joined Finastra, the world’s 3rd largest Fintech company, in 2016. She joined the company as a LaserPro Trainer. She has since evolved in her position and currently trains many of the company’s software’s. She remains a Subject Matter Expert with the LaserPro software.
