Corporate Treasury Analyst
Summary: Analyst in Red River Bank Corporate Treasury in the Finance Department Coordinate asset liability management, investment analysis, correspondent banks, and borrowings to maximize net interest income/ net interest margin. Qualifications: Finance or Business Degree required. Banking experience required. Finance, analysis, systems, budgeting, reporting experience beneficial. SEC reporting experience beneficial. Worked in the Treasury/Finance/Accounting/ Auditing/Financial Reporting Department of a bank or business. Propensity to investigate and resolve issues and problems completely. Good computer and data management skills. Extremely organized and detail oriented. Self-starter and motivated. Capable of managing many projects simultaneously. Duties and Responsibilities: Asset Liability Management: Involved with the corporate wide asset liability management process to maximize net interest margin within defined risk parameters. Support Corporate Treasury Manager and executive management with proactive balance sheet strategies and analysis. Coordinate the ALM process with external ALM vendor. Asset liability management stress testing – Support Corporate Treasury Manager to implement appropriate stress test analysis considering current economic situation, trends and concerns. Prepare Net Interest Income and Net Interest Margin analysis and explanations for management, board and SEC documents. Peer monitoring – Analyze and report on peer bank net interest income and net interest margin results. Analyze possible hedging and derivative strategies including swaps, caps, floors for loans and deposits. Manage, monitor and update all treasury related policies including Interest Rate Risk, Investments and Liquidity. Treasury Meetings: Secretary of all treasury related management and board committees and workings groups. Liquidity and Investment Working Group. Pre-ALM Working Group: Asset Liability Management Committee (board). Prepare reports, attend meetings, prepare minutes. Investment Portfolio Strategy and Analysis: Involved with strategy and analysis of potential purchases and sales of a +$800 million investment portfolio and other investment assets. Work closely with Chief Investment Officer on monitoring investment returns and structure. Compile and review investment reports with the Chief Investment Officer. Prepare explanations for monthly investment results memo for management and the board. Prepare investment sections of earnings release and SEC documents. Correspondent Bank Management and Borrowings. Manage aspects of correspondent bank relationships such as contract renewals, account access and system access. Involved with all aspects of Bank and BHC borrowings, tracking, accounting and reporting. Budgeting and Forecasting: Involved with the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process and financial results. Obtain economic and interest rate forecasts. Review and analyze forecast and budgeted net interest margin and net interest income for accuracy and appropriateness. Audits and examinations: Involved with audits and examinations relating to all treasury matters including tracking, gathering, submitting, responding and meeting. Asset Liability Audit, Correspondent Bank Audit, Investment Audit, Liquidity Audit for internal, external and regulators. Prepare responses to findings and implement changes. Review and analyze treasury related aspects of a target bank and acquisition including correspondent accounts, investment portfolio, borrowings, etc. Analyze target banks pricing, products and asset liability strategies in order for RRB management to understand target banks product set and to accurately project future financial results. Support other Finance Department duties, projects and cross-training.
