Banks across the state hold first ever LBEC-sponsored 365 to Rich Bank Day

High school seniors across the state were nominated and chosen to be a part of the first ever 365 to Rich Bank Day on October 7, 2016. The statewide program aims to introduce high school seniors to banking as a career option as well as to offer financial literacy resources. Seniors who are chosen to be a part of the program spend a day at the bank where they tour each department and learn how the work relates to the overall mission of the bank. Students also had the opportunity to visit with bank executives to learn about banking career options and how financial literacy is vital to their future. As part of the program, students are also given the option to write an essay that will be judged among the others across the state, with one student being awarded an iPad. To be eligible for the program, each student has to be a high school senior, be nominated by a teacher or counselor and chosen by the bank.
